After creating a few mood-boards i have defined my ideas down and got a theme for my hotel room, i need to change my designs however. I have come up with an initial design that i attached to my proposal however i feel it needs to be adapted or at least create a few more and combine them to create the ideal design for the hotel room. I need to take into account that it's an environmental brief therefore i should do some more in-depth research into sustainability and environmentally friendly materials.

I finally got my research question sorted and i have now nearly finished my research document. Here is my new research question:
-What elements in 3D visualisation help to define the aesthetics and character of an
interior designed space?

This is much more aimed at my future industry and i am going to thoroughly enjoy creating my artefacts for this research.

I have also decided on doing a competition for my client project. I have chosen the environment brief for the D&AD student award competition. I have to design and create a hotel room of the future. I am really enjoying this so far and i will keep you posted on my work. I have already drafted up some initial sketches however they need a lot of work.

I am having a meltdown!

I have recently handed in my proposed research question topic form with my question being: How realistic can simulating states of natural forces be in computer generated objects and environments?

I really want to change my question. I have until the 6th December to write my research document which will be 3000-4000 words so to change my question now is rather a dilema however i am really struggling with my question as it stands and am not happy with it. I am extremly interested in visualisation and the question above is moving away from my specified area of interest.

I am really interested in photo-realism and i quite like the idea of writing a question about maybe, the fine line between images that look fake to photo realistic. I need to do alot more research on this topic before i decide on a question. I have found a good article in 3D Artist that might help me... I will keep you posted...

My Proposal and Evaluation for Simulated Client Project

Proposal
I have been set a brief to create a multimedia product for the alumni association. We have been given a few examples of what the Alumni are looking for and one of them is a promotional video to encourage people to donate. I want to carry out this brief as I can see a lot of potential and immediately ideas came flowing to my head when I saw this brief. I want to make a stop-motion video to promote the alumni and at the same times encourage people to donate. I intend to hand draw all my images rather than use photos as I prefer the effect hand drawn images have compared to photos; it gives that edgy effect that’s not so clean and crisp. My target audience is between the ages 20- 40 however I would want to advertise it to all ages and I want to make it suitable to any age.

Evaluation
My brief for this project was to create a multimedia product for the alumni association. I feel I completed this brief with through research and within the time given. I carried out my research by looking at ‘Susannah Shaws’ "Stop-Motion: Craft Skills for Model Animation" for ideas and techniques on stop-motion; I also experimented with different methods for my animation. I tried making models to animate with, I tried experimenting with photos, drawings and also dived into 3DS MAX. I found hand drawing and using Photoshop to aid my drawings was going to be the best way forward for my ideas and for the time frame I had been given. A friend of mine works for the alumni association, so he managed to get me some leaflets and information on the alumni association which helped develop and further my research.

I feel my time management was reasonably good, considering I usually have a severe lack of organisation when it comes to my time management. I made a great conscious effort to plan my time wisely for this project and it paid off. If anything I spent too much time researching which could have gone towards final touches on my final animation. The actual stop motion I feel started well however it goes extremely fast and it gets faster and faster as the video goes on. If I had the extra time I spent on researching, I could have gone back and tweaked my stop motion video but I was running out of time so had no other choice than to leave it, which was really disappointing however it is a lesson learnt, and a lesson I don’t want to learn again in my LIVE client project.

I originally had trouble with deciding on a final idea, I knew I wanted to create a promotional video to encourage people to donate but it was deciding what method to use to create the video. I chose the stop motion as I think they’re fun to watch and they normally get people interested straight away as their eye catching. I know that every time I see a stop motion I am immediately interested.

Overall I think I executed this project thoroughly and although my final product was not to my entire satisfaction, I was pleased with the outcome and I was very happy with how I progressed with my time management skills.

I made this through my own drawings which I imported into Photoshop and edited. The Photoshoped images were then imported into Adobe Premier where I completed the movie. I done this to see if my anagles of the pot were right and to see if the movement was flowing properly or wether I need to go back and edit my drawings before I use them for my final project.

I was going to hand draw it all but after testing out ideas in photoshop with my drawn images i have decided to create my images in photoshop and then import those stills into premier pro and after effects to finsh my stop motion off. Susannah Shaw: My Research into stop-motion

So i went to the libary and photocopied some infomation out of Susannah Shaws "Stop-Motion: Craft Skills for Model Animation". She writes and explores the mechanics of movement, filming, creating a scene, creating your models and much more. I have found her book very useful and has already helped me a great deal with my stop motion.

The illusion of speed is something i think is really hard to show in a stop motion. Here she explains ways of creating that illusion.

Movement is another tricky element to animation that takes alot of practice to perfect. Here Susannah talks about flexability, action and reaction and the best ways of creating these motions with models.

I tested out working with plasterscene to model characters for my stop motion, a large part of Shaw's book is about modelling your own characters, after reading this i started to make my own taking into consideration some of the elements she talks about.

I was also researching camera angles, perspectives when creating my scene and lighting. Although her book is very basic, it has helped me widen my attention to detail in my scenes.

I also looked up some information about cameras, how to use them for what i want to do etc, and briefly steped into green screen. It proposed a great idea for my stop motion however within the time frame i have for this project, i have chosen not to look into it any further but it is definatley something i am interested in doing further down the line.

Brainstorm for Alumni Project

I like the idea of doing a video to encourage people to give to the alumni. I have had a faor few ideas, but the one that has captured my mind is my money idea. I want to have coins and notes sneaking and jumping out of peoples purses, hands, pockets etc and the money will follow a charity pot (idea from the pied piper) to the university. The money will have to makes its way around obstacles such as cars, cross motorways, roll down stairs etc. then at then end i would have a slogan about giving to the alumni, something along the lines of 'your money works hard to help, please help your money get to the alumni'. That's just a rough idea of what I'm thinking, and maybe through-out the video i will have some sort of voice over about what the alumni does. I want to hand draw the images and maybe combine them with some 3d or edit them in Photoshop.

Simulated Project: Brief

OK, so were half way through the first week back and already the pressure is on. The top of my list consists of the simulated client project. The brief asks us to make a multimedia product for the alumni association, I am really unsure of what i want to do for this project, which is really worrying me as i have less than 4 weeks to complete it.We have to put across what the alumni do for the university and it would be good to talk about the projects and charities that are ongoing within the alumni.

After the lecture yesterday my understanding is a bit clearer but i still have no idea what i actually want to do. i quite like the idea of the mascot but I'm not really a fan of character animation. i also like the idea of a video either to remind people to give a donation or a thank you video for donating. but as i am on the animation pathway i think making a video will be extremely time consuming. As i love graphic design creating a logo also appeals to me. Whatever project i decide to take on, i don't fancy working with characters but i cant think of another way of putting across my point without using character animation. I'm really interested in visualisation especially with architecture but i have a feeling i am going to have to step out my comfort zone completely with this brief.

OK, so while i have been on my summer holidays apart from being in sunny Barcelona where i was taking a lot of pictures of textures and buildings for external work and visiting a few art galleries including Picasso's, i have been working on my projects for the up and coming year.

I first of all had to decide on my PRP topic and start researching clients for my client project. After a long winded research process i finally decided on a PRP topic.

PRP Brainstorm:

I want to study the physics of 3d animation, for example, the way gravity affects objects, how when a wave occurs in the sea how it assembles and falls, i want to study how objects move. another example; when a building falls, i want to question how it falls? how does gravity affect the falling rubble? how does wind affect it and when it finally hits the ground, how does it disperse? what course do the particles of rubble take? I want to do this because i have always been interested in physics and as the modules this year are long drawn i want to study something that is going to keep me engaged and get my brain ticking. To do this i am going to look at the particle systems and space warps within 3ds Max and i am also going to do external research, so watch clips of buildings falling, waves forming etc and create my own tests with materials such as wood, plastic, cardboard, foam, and i will film these experiments before recreating them in 3ds Max. I still need to get this checked off with my course leader but hopefully i will be able to carry it out if not this then along similar lines.

OK, so my client project, as of yet i still have not got a client lined up, I am actually quite interested in doing a competition, but i am finding it difficult to find one that is ending after our deadline. There are a lot of competitions ending this month so hopefully there will be new entries for 2012 opening up soon which i can partake in. I feel with entering a competition, if i do well it will give me more opportunities in the future as not only does it build my portfolio other companies and future clients are more likely to see my work whereas working with a client, OK, it could possibly guarantee me a job after uni but its only that one client that sees my work. However at the moment I am looking for anything its not easy enough to be picky but i think if a competition becomes available i will take that as my "client".

I am looking for clients in the 3d visualisation industry, I am very interested in architecture and especially interior visualisation. My perfect client would be a company who produces stills or fly-through's of interiors for residential or commercial builds. I ideally would like a company in London as it is not far from my hometown and if i manage to get a job out of it then i can easily travel there. If i get offered a job in Nottingham it won't be much help to me after i graduate.

I am not looking forward to this year as i know it is going to be a lot of pressure and hard work, My time management is also very poor and it is something I'm going to have to work very hard towards improving this year! I feel if i manage my time well this year i will be able to crack it and it will greatly benefit my future in this industry.

What a long project this has been! I must admit when I got given the brief after Christmas I was fairly disappointed, however when I started to think about it, I thought I could do something really great with this... that thought didn’t last for long as I really started to struggle with inspiration.

I watched film after film and looked through magazines, books, internet and couldn’t find anything that inspired me. I eventually chose Edward Scissorhands because it is... was, one of my favourite films and I love the innocence of Edward but how he is portrayed as evil. My original idea was to create it in a doll world similar to toy story as you can see on my blog. I wanted to create a house made out of doll parts and have the inventor and Edward as dolls and everything looking like plastic. A bit like a Ken and Barbie animation but with a creepy side to it as I’m easily creeped out by dolls. I wanted it to have a Frankenstein twist to it!

So I started planning however after a conversation with a tutor we decided I didn’t have enough time to make the whole house and that for a few seconds animation it wouldn’t be worth it and to concentrate on the inside of the house. After going home and trying to redesign my ideas I sort of got fed up with it and it didn’t seem the same so AGAIN decided to change my idea except this time I didn’t have one so I started to create my environment hoping I would get inspiration as I was going along. I created basic things like stairs, tables, furniture to go in my environment that I knew I needed.

It’s a really inappropriate way to start a project but time was ticking and I was running out of ideas, so. I started with an attic room, thought it didn’t look good so made a basement and added all my furniture then when it came to animating I thought it was too much like the original film so went back to the attic idea! Silly I know. Anyways I love modelling so I didn’t mind; it was when I came to adding lighting and cameras I got stuck.

I found modelling and rigging my characters fairly easy I didn’t really have a problem, only with the envelopes however that was only minor. I also found animating my machine fairly easy however when I merged it into my scene it didn’t animate properly and I can’t figure out why. But the original file works fine! Most of my problems came when I had to add the cameras and render! Cameras and rendering have always been a problem for me and I think always will be. When I was doing my modelling I was trying hard to keep face counts down the whole way through however when I rendered after a certain point it would say not enough memory to allocate mesh or something along those lines but it would render it fine as a still and as a sequence up to 166 stills then it would always come up with that message. I ended up having to delete my fire effect for my machine which was one of my focal points. I did not use after effects in the end for a couple of reasons; I didn’t have the time, and I don’t really understand it properly... still! It’s something I am keen to learn over summer when I have no deadlines or projects to concentrate on.

That aside I am happy with my modelling anyways. I think my modelling has really improved since last year, in fact even from the beginning of this year! It took me a long while to get the hang of simple modelling I used to make a mess out of it but it has really improved and I am really happy with it! I am also really happy with my portfolio project. I spent a lot of time on that because I was just model making there was not a lot of animation and rigging ect. I spent too much time on it really. I really need to allow myself more time next year in my work; it’s the main thing that lets me down every time. And I’m really disappointed in myself for allowing it to happen again in this project.

It's been a while since iv been on here... iv been very busy trying to complete my project. Iv been working on my finished models which i have changed over and over! I have also been working on my environment which is what i have been concentrating on most until recently when i have given up with it and finished off my character models! Im not normally a fan of character animation but i have really enjoyed making my inventor... ok i may have made a few rough models which i wasn't happy with but it has all led to my final ideas for both my characters! I got the idea for the final inventor of a picture of an old man i saw on the internet. I roughly changed the shape of his head and i made his body a bit different but i am really pleased with it so here he is uncomplete at this stage as i will put the final version up in my evaluation...

More will be up shortly of my other character but for now its time to hit the hay

This is my new script it is still from Edward Scissorhands however is a different part of the script.... I know its late to change the script but I havent started animating yet and the characters and scenery are still the same so it isnt really making much dfference to my timing. I have chosen this scene as the enviroment is more detailed and I feel I can work better with it, the script is also longer. It's a flash back of when the inventor was teaching Edward. He's reading to edward in the room where the inventor created Edward. There is not alot of movement of charactrs which is what I like as I do not like character anumation very much and am more inerested in the environment, so overall this scene works much better.

I have learnt today how to make the water move so i have animated it in my forest scene shown below which i will re render over night and i have also created a fish under water and it is all animated however because of my slow internet it is not uploading to youtube so i will be here for a while until it does! My protfolio is comming along tho, however it is not amazing mostly simple stuff thats not all the high quality but at the moment its the best i can do!

I have been watching toy story to get ideas and the feel of how toys move as i am bringing dolls to life for my project. I saw this and thought it was really interesting. If you also look and woody running he dosent run like a normal human being. You can see the lack of controll in his arms and legs as they fling about. Its the small details like this that capture the cross between dolls and real life.

As i am creating my figures as dolls I have had an idea of making the scientist house out of doll parts. There is a church in Prague and it is filled with human bones, i thought this was interesting and relevant to my project, although i don't find it particularly nice to look at, it sends a shiver down my spine.

Around 1400 a Gothic church was built in the center of the cemetery with a vaulted upper level and a lower chapel to be used as an ossuary for the mass graves unearthed during construction, or simply slated for demolition to make room for new burials. After 1511 the task of exhuming skeletons and stacking their bones in the chapel was, according to legend, given to a half-blind monk of the order.

Between 1703 and 1710 a new entrance was constructed to support the front wall, which was leaning outward, and the upper chapel was rebuilt. This work, in the Czech Baroque style, was designed by Jan Santini Aichel.

In 1870, František Rint, a woodcarver, was employed by the Schwarzenberg family to put the bone heaps into order. The macabre result of his effort speaks for itself. Four enormous bell-shaped mounds occupy the corners of the chapel. An enormous chandelier of bones, which contains at least one of every bone in the human body, hangs from the center of the nave with garlands of skulls draping the vault. Another thought....

I have had an idea of using barbie dolls.... I thought I could model barbie dolls and create my figures barbie doll like.... I will deform them to look scarred and give a barbie doll scissors for hands. I feel barbie dolls have a creepy essence to them and I think I can really portray that. I can make it quite dark and I think I can go somewhere with this idea although creepy barbie dolls has already been done in mainly fine art so I would have to be carefull not to make it too unoriginal!

I have no pen and paper on me and have been thinking about my project and wanted to make a mental note to put in my hand journal and i know i will forget it. but i have been thinking about the correlation between edward and frankenstien and they are both good at heart... they both mean well but have only learnt so much about human behaviour. i want to portray this in my animation. edward has scissors for hands and looks scary but is really innocent and dosent really know his rights from wrongs and its the way people treated him that in turn made him react the way he did.... this is similar with frankinstien.

Had my first seminar back today... I have a lot of work to be getting on with!! But first of all I have a client project... My first real project :)! A new company for security has asked me to design a logo for their clothing, letterheads and business cards! They only want something simple and minimal colour so should be relatively simple however I am finding it hard to keep simple as I am so used to being creative and extravagant within graphic design! I will be posting some of my work on here soon once I have got some final designs together, which are nearly complete!

I am also looking for some work experiance. By this time next year I want to have had work experiance with at least two different architecture companies, so if anyone knows of anyone who I could get in contact with then let me know :)!

New Beginings

So we are back at uni for the second year and a term has already passed. As you can see from my blog i haven't been on here in a while. to keep you up to date i have just finished an animation project where i had to create a robot and make him slip, trip and fall. I found it a very difficult and challenging project and on top of that i have had a very difficult term, which led me to become behind on my work. however on the positive side i am getting back on track and have already started our next brief, which is to interpret a script from a film or book planning mise en scene, character design and cinematography.

So far i have started research into which film i will use, i am not so good with reading from a book so have decided to stick to films. i have looked at 'The Adams Family', 'Frankenstein', 'Harry Potter', and a few Tim Burton films such as 'Edward Scissorhands', 'Sweeney Todd' and 'The Nightmare before Christmas'.

so far being back at uni has been great but had its down points as i have been ill. i am doing film for the next 5 weeks and we have been put in our groups and been given scripts we have to interpret. there are 5 people including myself in our group and we have all been given individual roles. i am in charge of the sound, im not 100% sure what that entitles, but im really looking forward to it and in the film project before christmas i was working abit with sound and really enjoyed it. we have our setting and we know our plan, however we are a bit stuck on the extra scene as the one we came up with is not an extra scene just extended. i have missed most of this week as i haven been able to walk on my foot and havent been feeling very well but i al looking forward to the rest of this project but even more excited about the animation project.

First Seminar Back

In our first seminar we were discussing active learning and what we think active learning envolvs. We were set a task to talk about what we do as an indipendant practioner. To develop my self as a multimedia student I read alot of magazins including 'Creative Arts', 'Creative Review' and i will buy any other random magazins i see at the time that look useful. I use these to get inspiration and techniques, they are also good for brush sets and equipment.

I also research alot of artists and look atr thier works again for inspirtation. I have also been looking at jobs within the creative arts world. Theis is a job I am about to apply for as a graohic designer, they are looking for sutdents for 8 hours a weeek.

This is Kumiko... He is the hero of the story.

This is the enemy... Lord Yutaka sends out ninjas which Kumiko has to destroy.

Here is one of the places they meet... inside a shop. In this frame, the playes has to pick an option. They have to choose a power to use against the ninja.

Here are my first photoshop creations for this project. This is Kumiko's belt buckle which is sort of his logo, there is also a picture of his belt which I created not long after.

I have been doing one shot film for nearly 3 weeks now, I have really enjoyed it, however had a few complications along the way...

The first lesson was pretty boring, going through all the health and safety precautions, however we then got put into our groups and started to think about our films. Due to the huge lack of enthusiasm from my group I quickly arranged to change groups as I wanted to be productive and get on with the film, due to a lot of other work I had to. I joined my new group after the first week and quickly caught up with them. We met in the week to discuss how we were going to film our idea and where and when it was all going to take place. Our film was about drink driving, we were going to have a couple of us drunk getting into a car and running someone over. On the day of filming I was really excited, despite the freezing cold we had to stand in for hours. However we managed to get what we wanted pretty quickly although there were a few complications. First of all the camera screen was a slight shade of blue, we didn't know what it was supposed to look like but assumed it wasn't meant to be blue. We could not solve this as we didn't know how to change it. Since then I have found out the white balance was off and I now know how to change it thanks to someone I know on a broadcast course. So besides the blue screen we started filming, me and Janos were behind the camera, I was in charge of the light balance as he moved the camera. We had to change the lighting balance as we zoomed in and out of the frame as we found it went too dark or florescent. The main problem for us was the background noise, as there was a cleaning truck taking all the time in the world cleaning the street by our location. I politely asked if they could stop for two minutes, but apparently people just arnt as nice as they used to be these days. When it came to editing our film, the noise was the biggest problem, the noise from the truck just made the whole film like crackle. We boldly decided to cut out all our audio from the film and replace it with a soundtrack. It has actually worked out so much better even tho we spent a very long time finding the right song. We had one more problem with our film... when we put the tape in the VCR the tape got stuck and snapped in the machine... we were almost in tears as we had worked so hard on it, however the technician told us there was a very small chance he could fix it for us by sellotaping the tape back together, but even if this worked we wouldn't be able to rewind the tape once we had played it. Turns out someone likes us as the tape worked and we managed to record it to the external hardrive. But he was right we couldn't rewind it so the tape got destroyed. The result of the tape breaking in the VCR means we have a cut at the beginning of our film, it sort of shakes but we cant change that unless we film all over again and with the time we had left non of us really wanted to be doing that. What we have created with everything that went wrong is brilliant. I am very proud of it and am now considering film next year.

After my diaster on thursday I have come up with a whole new idea. I have been home this weekend and today my 4 year old nephew was down. He had all my old race cars out and like usuall was making a mess. I then thought about racing toy cars for my pixilation. I love cars and car racing, I have been to silverstone and LOVED it! I love any film that has a car chase involved, i think i get that from my dad. so i was sat watching my nephew throwing the cars about and all of a sudden saw his lego box and i had a brainwave. I had come up with the idea to create a whole race track with lego people andall. I started making my track but then got delayed as my nephew then wanted to help... however 4 year olds dont exactly help. 3 hours later i had my track all set up i even pulled off all the wheels from lego cars to create tyre walls like they do in the Gand Prix. I have based my pixilation on the Grand Prix and had my dad help me as he has been to watch it many times and watches it every sunday without fail when its on. I have also placed a few crashes in there to make it interesting, after all theres no Formula 1 without a couple of crash scenes. Here are some videos i got my inspiration from:

Here is the line up and it also shows you the start of the race. This was filmed at the Formula 1 in China Shanghai in 2008.

To create the crashes in my pixilation, i used bluetack and wire, this held the cars in the position I wanted as they were flipping over and crashing. This was so much fun although it took me a good 4, 5 hours from when i started to make my track. I am getting a train back tomorow morning so I am hopefully going to put all my frames into Adobe professional after tomorrows lecture.

Animation Over Time

I have been looking at animation over time, going from the first animation in 1906 'Humorous Phases of Funny Faces' to one of the most recent animations 'UP'. Animation has changed rapidly over time, and im very excited to see where we will be in 40 years time. Im not a fan of the 3D cinema at the moment, i havent warmed to it. The thought of having to sit wearing wierd glasses for 2 hours just dosent attract me. The first time I really noticed animation was when i watched Monsters INC. They managed to capture each strand of hair and the defination to me was the most amazing thing in the world. I have always loved animation however it was around the early 2000's when the animation really got my atention. I was yet to be amazed again when Wall-e appeared in the cinemas. It looks so real and although he cant talk, the animators and directors have really caught the emotions and its so easy to connect with the machine robot, sounds silly but its so clever. Here are quite a few images i have found to show you the extent animation has changed over time.

Im my tutor this morning we were looking at each others blogs and we watched a trailor for the new EA Games Basketball Game... it was Fantastic! From where i was sat it looked real and at first i thought it was a film trailor untill the EA Games logo came up! They have personilised each player down to detailed tattoos, and even included sweat patches and muscle defination! Its more realistic than most animations! WHAT A WASTE

I have just spent an hour and a half taking my photos for my pixilation and spent 2 hours before hand making my cars and my memory card has all of a sudden decided to wipe itself clean!!!! I now have to go and take all the pictures again and i was only half way through it in the first place and i also dont have pictures of my process through making the cars!!! I HATE CAMERAS! My flat mates are also fed up of doing it..... this is rubbish!!

My First Pixilation

Here is my first pixilation. Its not brilliant i have created it to test out the software and get used to using it. i will be taking photos for my finial pixilation tonight, which im really excited about. I found with this pixilation that it went really really fast and you couldent really see what was happening, so i slowed it down by 70 % and its still extremely fast. when i take the photos toninght i think i am going to make 3 replicas of each photo just so it it last longer. This may not work, however i think its worth a try because i really dont like the pace of this pixilation.

MY IDEA FOR MY SECOND PIXILATION

After watching a clip on youtube i got the idea of cardboard boxes... but turned into cars. I have two volunteers from my flat who agreed to help me out. The cars will start in a flat on the top floor and they will race down the stairs, and out the door, I am also considering having a road rage scene in the middle, but i will see how i get on.

I think George Smith's work is very abstract. In an article I read, he quotes "My style is abstract, sometimes too abstract for most people" but I love it and I love creating abstract work myslef. Although you have to know the limit otherwise it can just look too messy. George Smith describes it as "contrlled chaos- going insane whilst keeping it under controll" and I completley agree!

Phil McDarby is a very creative designer, he,s been workin in Graphics, 3D and Videogame design for about 10 years. Hes even set up his own games company called Vyro games. Im not a fan of fantasy but I love some of his works with dragons. I love the image below, which he created in photoshop, even tho im not a massive fan of dragons in art, there is something about this piece that I just love.

ahhhh my interactive narrative is taking me agessss, although im slowly getting there. I am ill at the moment, been given antibiotics therefore flat bound and cant go out and party :(... However its turning out to be a good thing because im getting soo much more work done! My interactive narrative is now lookin more like ... something, rather than a bunch of random drawings. I also need to start cracking on with my essay, which I am feeling more comfortable with since my tutor meeting last friday.

I have also realised listening to classical music is soo relaxing and makes it easier for me to work... although my flat mates think im a looser for playing it... I will turn them around, they will love it by the end of the term!

I had my first pixilation seminar on thursday, im really interested in animation so really looking forward to the rest of the three weeks. We all got put into groups and had to go and take roughly 350 photos which we will use to make animations with. We went out and took about 500 and had time for a cup of tea which we thought was really good, however when we got back to the room and our tutor looked at the photos, he realised we had taken some portrait and they all had to be landscape. This was my fault as the portrait ones I took... oops! However I didnt know we had to take them all landscape as he never told us and my classmates didnt think about it either. This is not the end of the world as I have plenty of time to go out and take my own, so tomorrow me and a couple of my classmates are going to take some more.

Suprisingly enough the walls/alleys have taken me the longest to draw, one taking me an hour! I was really pickey making sure every angle was right to make it look realistic.
