I have used techniques i learnt yesterday in a seminar and have created this....
i call it 'the pringle'.... I got the idea from the gerkin in london, this is virtually the same but i have adapted it slightly and called it the pringle!
Check it out, quite handy if you want a quick way of making grass, hair and fur... although it takes forever to render so is only usefull for rendered stills
I have tried to create my attic room... It is not going to plan at the moment as i cant seem to get the lighting right. However i am going to carry on trying. I want the roof to eventually have a hole in it to give it an old broken feel. This is no where near compleated its just an initial idea.
I have started to create a staircase for my house. I will eventually make it look old and tattered possibly with some broken steps and cobwebs. I have also added lights and shadows to carry on exprimenting so when i com to my final scene i know what i need to do.
Here us a close up of my tiled floor. This was taken before i added lights and shadows. I am going for a victorian theme.
To make animating easier and to make render time quicker we create low poly models. Here is a hand I am currently working on as an example of the low poly and also below is the same hand but tubosmoothed to show the finishing effects. It is not finished it is simply the start to my hand...
I have made some chains for my inventors room. I have applied shadows and lights to the chains which is an achievement for me as i have found using lighting and shadows difficult in the past, but with many trial and errors i think i am finally getting the hang of it.
